Daan

‘Is Wim boodschappen doen?’

[i]‘Is Wim shopping?’ Daan, our little neighbour boy is coming with mum Anja.’O no.. come and have a look.. Wim is playing a nice game on the computer.’ And within a moment Daan is with him while talking… Anja has had bad luck while her tooth in the front is broken. So she needed a visit to the dentist. The older boys Frank-8- and Tim -5- are at school and the 3 years old Daan starts with the big box. He is going to fix the rails of the train, which Gerhard had got 42 years ago when he came home from the hospital after the tonsil treatment. ‘Does the train run by itself or do I have to push it?’, he asked me. Poor boy… he had to push.
From that train only 3 carriages are left and I fixed them together with thread. But that doesn’t bother the little neighbourboys.
When the train is ready Daan made a large puzzle on the floor and after that we went to my ‘keetje’ for painting or drawing. And what do you think this 3 years old boy would like to do. He wants to write and made a lot of lines with his own writing.
When Anja is coming with the other boys we have a nice cup of coffee. Her tooth is repaired and looks nice again. The boys are helping Daan to cleanup and so we are on our own after a good afternoon.
