En dan… na onze vrije moment om even te shoppen in de shoek is het zover. We gaan richting Klaagmuur. Het is vrijdag en de Shabat begint bijna. Het is een wekelijks hoogtepunt dat begint met bidden, zingen en dansen.
We moeten wel eerst opnieuw door een detectiepoortje. Wim mag door na z’n pasje van de pacemaker te hebben getoond. Wij dossen ons uit met hoofddoeken en petjes en gaan naar onze afdeling aan de Klaagmuur. De mannen aan hun kant.
Hier zie je de jongeren die dansen en zingen en dat ondanks de koude regen die intussen naar beneden valt.
