Wat een mooie middag is het geworden met Ben en Diny en onze Amerikaanse familie: Pamela, Brett and Abbie. We begonnen met een verlate lunch, want Ben en Diny hadden ze al een mooi stukje van oostelijk Nederland laten zien voor ze bij ons in Emmen belandden. Daarna het bezoekje aan de hunebedden, even lammetje knuffelen, keetje bewonderen en daarna zetten we ons in de Finse kota voor een drankje. De stukjes Nederlandse kaas en Drents worst gingen er goed in, ook bij Brett.
Wim had zijn beroemde mosterdsoep gemaakt met pilaf. Hij nodigde ons aan tafel in het Frans, maar dat begrepen onze cousins niet, wel in het Nederlands. Natuurlijk kreeg Wim opnieuw de complimenten.

We started with a late lunch, while Ben and Diny made a nice trip through the N.O. polder and the former isle of Schokland before ending in Emmen. Then a visit to the hunebeds, cuddling the lambs, enjoying the atmosphere in the Finish Kota. Brett loved the Dutch cheese. Wim has made his famous mosterdsoep and pilaf. He invited us at the table in French but that wasn’t onderstand. But in Dutch it was clear. Of course Wim got the compliments for his cooking.[/i]
