‘Ben je donderdagmorgen thuis?’ Anja is op bezoek met de jongens. ‘Ik heb een afspraak bij de kapper. Kun je misschien nog even oppassen?’
Ze hebben al vakantie. Hoeft Anja niet meer 4 keer per dag op de fiets van en naar basis- en peuterschool te fietsen. Met een kind voor en een achterop en Frank op z’n fietsje ernaast is dat iedere keer een onderneming.. Toch moeten de kinderen nog wat bijkomen. Ze zijn gewoon nog moe nu de scholen in het noorden zo laat vakantie hebben gekregen.
Vanmorgen is het dan zover. Anja drinkt nog even een kopje koffie mee en dan gaan we met z’n vieren de dieren langs met brood, pony Amber en de Schoonebekers. Tessa en Queeny hebben een goede ochtend. Ze krijgen alle aandacht. Nog heerlijk spontaan zijn kinderen. Ik herinner me de eerste keer dat Robin, heel klein nog, op me af kwam rennen met z’n armen wijd om opgevangen te worden. Zo voelt dat met deze kinderen ook. We hadden er mooi weer bij en een puzzel met Mickey Mouse, Goofy en Pluto wordt buiten aan de picknicktafel samen gemaakt. Zelfs Daan van drie zoekt de stukjes van Mickey al bij elkaar. ‘Dan hebben we wel een ijsje verdiend, vindt Tim. ‘Dat mag je niet vragen’, corrigeert Frank. Nou hier mag dat wel en even later smikkelen ze al. Net als ze bezig zijn met planten water geven en Tim al een flinke scheut water over z’n voetbalshirtje heeft, komt Anja ze weer halen. ‘Kom je ook eens bij ons eten ?’, vraagt Tim als ze naar huis gaan en ik krijg van alledrie een dikke kus.

Their holiday from school has started already. No need any more to go 4 times a day the way to the primary school and the children’s care with one boy in front and one at the backseat of her bike and the third one on his little bike next to her. The children are a bit tired while the schools in this northern part of the Netherlands have their holiday late this year.
Yesterday morning she brought them. After a cup of coffee a cup with me, Anja goes and then we start the 4 of us to go to pony Amber and the sheep with the both dogs. Tessa and Queeny are lucky today with so much attention. So lovely such spontaneous children at this age. I’ll always remember the first time Robin came in and run to me with his arms stretched out to be caught. So it feels with these children too. We have beautiful weather and we are making a puzzle with Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Pluto on the picknicktable. Even little Daan found the pieces of Mickey Mouse. ‘I think we deserve an ice cream’, so Tim (4) says, when the job is done ‘You may not ask for that’, corrects brother Frank (8). But here that’s no problem. A bit later they are enjoying their ice cream. Than just as they are helping me by watering the plants and Tim just had a splash of water over his nice football shirt, Anja is back again . ‘Do you come and eat with us once?’, Tim asks when they are leaving and I‘m getting big kisses of all three of them.
