Foto: Pamela maakte veel foto’s van typisch Nederlandse details.
Eigenlijk was ik best tevreden met mijn kleine zakcameraatje, de Canon IXUS 85 IS. Kan je overal mee naar toe nemen in je jaszak of achter de rits van m’n handtas. Altijd heb ik dat kleine ding bij me. De foto’s die ik met gewoon helder weer maak zien er prachtig uit, vooral wanneer ik dichtbij het onderwerp sta. Maar wanneer ik wat verderaf sta… nou ja… dan wordt het wat minder. Ik kan wel wat inzoomen maar dan is meteen de kwaliteit weer minder. Wanneer ik dan de foto’s ga resizen om op de website te zetten is het soms schrikken.
Nu zie ik tegenwoordig regelmatig foto’s van professionele- en goede amateurfotografen en dan ja dan vraag ik me wel eens af… ligt het aan mij of aan het toestel.
Toen Wim Harwig weer de zoveelste fantastische foto op Flickr had gezet ging ik opnieuw nadenken… En toen we bij Henk en Gerrie vandaan kwamen kreeg ik ongevraagd een paar afdrukken met informatie over geweldige camera’s mee. Dat zegt wel wat…
Degene die als eerste favoriet gold, de Canon Powershot SX30 IS weegt meer dan 600 gram. De tweede is een Nikon Coolpix P500 wel 100 gram minder. Beiden schijnen erg goed te zijn.
We zijn in de keuken aan het wegen geweest hoe dat voelde met een bakje water… best zwaar om altijd mee te sjouwen. Toen nog even de Canon Powershot G12 bekeken. Daar maakt Wim Harwig zulke mooie foto’s mee… weer 100 gram minder.
En wanneer ik de foto’s bekijk die nichtje Pamela pas opstuurde die ze hier in Nederland maakte….. die zijn prachtig. Zij had ook een kleine camera. Maar inzoomen zal ze niet gedaan hebben, hoewel deze foto zal ze wel ingezoomd hebben en kijk eens hoe scherp die is.
Wim is er makkelijk in: Gewoon bestellen… en ik mag zeggen welke. Eigenlijk heb ik d’r toch wel gebrek an. Ik mag eerst nog een weekend studeren op de specificaties.

I had a look at the pictures from professionals and amateur photographers and I was thinking… Why the difference. Is it me or the camera?
When cousin Wim Harwig put new pictures on Flickr and after Henk Braakhekke handed me a few leaflets about perfect camera’s I started thinking about a new camera.
The first who was favourite is the Canon Powershot SX30 IS, but its weight is more than 600 gram. The second one is the Nikon Coolpix P 500 and its weights is 100 gram less.
Wim and I went into the kitchen and tried a bowl with water at that weight… rather heavy to take with you everywhere. Then we had a look at the Canon Powershot G 12 , with that camera it is that cousin Wim Harwig takes such a fabulous pictures… 100 gram less again.
Last week we’ve got the pictures from niece Pamela about her stay with us in the Achterhoek: also more then beautiful photo’s. I saw she had a small pocket camera too, but didn’t ask which one.
Wim is very easy going about my doubting: ‘Just order what you want…’ So I have a weekend to spend with looking at the different specifications.
