Daan.
Neighbour Anja is coming with her youngest boys. She brings me a beautiful bunch of flowers from the market. ‘Let them stay here’, I suggest her, while she has to collect Frank from his school. Within a few seconds they take off their jackets and bring the box with toys in our livingroom. Except the train and wooden blocks and dinkeytoys a few big dice are in it. Mark made them as a young boy on his carpentry club. It’s nice to see the development of this two. Daan who is 3,5 counts while he points the dots. So he counts 7 while he is pointing the six as he counts one to much. Tim is just five and knows exactly the amount of dots as soon as the dice are touching the floor. Daan finds an old wooden puzzle which was already used by Gerhard when he was three years old. Tja when you keep things… you may have convenience of it later on. And afterwards Robin and Eva were happy with it and now our neighbour boys. Daan and Tim play very well together and Wim and I are in the middle of it all. When Anja is coming in we go into the kitchen for a coffee. When all the toys have to be cleared away, you see the difference between the hard working Tim and Daan who takes it more easy. You can see him while thinking…it’s going fine…!
